Jimmy Thompson is the Vice President of Technology of Marin Data Analytics.
Jimmy has worked in a number of technical capacities including chemical engineering,
database development, application development, software engineering and big-data analysis.
Growing up Jimmy wanted to be an astronaut, but after seeing the movie Aliens he
decided it was probably better to pursue a life here on earth. Over his career Jimmy
has tried his hand at many different jobs, including landfill management, concert pianist
and part-time bounty hunter. After getting his arm broken during a routine
bounty acquisition, Jimmy realized it was probably best for him to find a
job less “hands-on”, and he returned to his expertise of programming, database management and analytics.
Jimmy’s technical expertise is the backbone of the innovative success of Marin Data Analytics.
